That is a better model than an 800-number promising midnight service that actually sends a subcontractor three hours later — but if you need literal 24-hour on-call, we will be upfront that is not our model.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?+
We will be straight with you — no, we are not a 24/7 operation. ProTech is an owner-operated Indianapolis company with in-house technicians, and we deploy during our business hours. What we do offer is fast, real response during those hours with people who actually know your facility, rather than a 24-hour call center that dispatches unfamiliar subcontractors. Most commercial emergencies hit during business hours anyway, and established priority clients almost always get same-day service.
What counts as an emergency?+
Anything that threatens active operations, an active inspection or audit, or your brand reputation. Common emergencies include pest sightings during service in a restaurant, guest complaints at a hotel, active infestations found during a third-party audit, health inspector findings, rodent pressure in a production line, and bed bug reports in healthcare or hospitality. If the situation cannot wait for a scheduled visit, treat it as an emergency and call us.
How fast can you actually get there?+
For priority program clients in the Indy metro, same-day is the norm during business hours and often within a few hours. For new commercial emergencies, it depends on where we are and how the day is routed — we give you a realistic ETA on the call rather than a blanket promise. We do not subcontract, so response depends on our actual in-house team availability.
Can you treat during service hours without disrupting operations?+
Yes — most commercial emergencies require discreet treatment while the facility is still running. Our technicians coordinate with your manager on duty, enter through back-of-house, use low-odor targeted products, and work around service windows. For a restaurant that means treating between lunch and dinner rather than shutting down. For a hotel it means isolating the affected room without alarming guests.
What if an inspector is on site right now?+
Call us immediately — this is one of the highest-urgency scenarios we handle. We can often dispatch a technician while the inspector is still on site, which lets the inspector see that active corrective action is already underway. At minimum, we can get you same-day response so the re-inspection clears cleanly. Established clients get documentation that supports the corrective-action narrative in writing.
Do emergency calls require a long-term contract?+
No. We respond to one-off commercial emergencies without requiring you to sign a recurring agreement. That said, most facilities that experience an emergency realize preventative service is cheaper and less stressful than reactive emergency dispatch, and they roll into an IPM program afterward. Even then, our agreements are month-to-month — we do not force annual contracts as a condition of service.
